About a week has passed since the news of an alleged alien signal broke on facebook. A week with an increasing volume of questions and very few reliable answers. At times it seemed more like the yearly shit-throwing championship. But today there was at-least an confirmation that the guy who questioned her safety in the first place had spoken to her and was convinced that she was ok:

... Just spoke to Judy...
Its her...
Im 90% sure she is safe by the sound of the nature of the conversation.
I am waiting for Judy to release something more on her facebook which she assures me is hers although it has virus attacks and strange comments.
... more to follow just now...

I have agreed to wait for Judy to comment because I am going to mess up the technicalities.

I am convinced from the conversation I had with her Judy's claim was genuine research and not a hoax.
Unfortunately due to a premature conclusion it is still open ended and not impossible it may be natural.
The research has gone "Private" until more is known. With respect to her funding protocols no doubt we are not going to get more than we already had.
For the meantime all information now remains under wraps.

So according to this she was not missing. Half the internet is screaming hoax for some reason or other, the first was this post:
-Wayne Herschel-
Judy mentioned this unusual spectrum range on the radio telescopes for the following stars:
Epsilon Eridany,
Izar (Epsilon Bootes),
Thuban (Alpha Draconis),
Proxima Centauri
Aldebaran in Taurus
All @ 212.55 nanometers,
peaking @ 400.11 nanometers
(Phasing between Harmonics and Sub-Harmonics).
+4 Janskies @ Pulse,
Multiplex Pilot carrier signal.
She said... "Its all raw info, we are still trying to find the Marker to decode".
also radio telescopes all around the world are targeting the stars to try decipher the code...

Where people objected that she was referring to radio telescopes and UV, and that UV gets absorbed by the atmosphere. But people of the trade could explain this:
From the ATS thread:
MORE FROM MY ASTRONOMER-PHYSICIST FRIEND , Robert Peter Sunman :
Hi Vicky,
As far as Judy is concerned, I just hope that there has been "an error in the translation" somewhere. Of course, there are optical filters which allow far UV to pass through, and these are used for measuring instruments and energy guiding, as well as on space-borne telescopes.
Now, it is more or less true to claim that UV-C (less than 2800 a (angstroms) [280 nanometers] is almost totally absorbed by ozone in the atmosphere, UV-A (315 -400 nm) is not affected, and UV-B (280-315 nm) is quite strongly affected, substantial atmospheric losses are due to Rayleigh scattering. I mention this because the Antarctic observatory is, I believe beneath an ozone hole, and should therefore be able to pick up some energy.
However, our principal source for UV imaging lies with space telescopes such as the EIT on SOHO and the Hopkins UV telescope. WUPPE, FUSP and FOS/HT do UV spectropolarimetric imaging down to 115nm, and principally work in the 150-280 range. EIT (extreme imaging UV telescope) is sensitive to light at 171 a, 195 a, 284 a and 304 a, so depending on where Judy obtained her data, there is no real reason why she should not be seeing extra-solar UV energy. (I would hesitate to use the word signals.)
We will see: I am not about to jump to any conclusions at this point.
It is worth noting that UV is the product of extremely hot sources, and blue white giants are massive producers of UV, while being far too hot for us to ever contemplate finding habitable planets nearby.
The Wow! signal, incidentally, was a radio signal and was picked up by the Ohio Big Ear which had been reset to search for narrow band radio emissions. The guy who wrote the word "Wow!" was Jerry Ehman, on the 15th August, 1977. The signal was measured on a 35 point scale. This means that it went from 1 to 9, and thence from A to Z. This led to some initial confusion, as many people seeing the signal, (6 E Q U J 5), thought it must be a code because it contain alphabetical and numerical characters.
Bob.
So there could have been a signal (or energy reading) in the frequencies she was referring to. But as the latest update "The research has gone "Private" until more is known and with respect to the funding and confidentiality parameters now in place she cannot say or discuss anything further for now" will probably just add to the fuel of those claiming it is a hoax. And if it is not, it might seem the public is not going to be informed in the immediate future. Nothing is new; go back to you TV-sets, there is nothing to see here.

I think half the reason is
I think half the reason is because the government is paranoid that the UFOs will attack us if we attempt to cooperate with them. I think the other half is that they're afraid to even disclose the information because people are so closed minded and entrenched in their little beliefs that it would destabilize a huge part of society. I was skeptical about UFOs for the longest time until I started listening to Mysterious Universe. I'm not going to say that I'm convinced they exist now, but I'm definitely a lot more open minded when it comes to forming opinions about the paranormal. Also, if you guys didn't know, we're due for a solar storm in 2012 - which (although I'm normally not very adamant about things like this, I'm convinced that it's coming). Is it just me or has it seemed like there has been a greater frequency in solar flares over the last couple of years? I've been watching http://www.spaceweather.com over the last few years and I'm not a scientist, but I have noticed an increase in sunspots. I also have satellite internet, so whenever there's a solar flare the signal gets disrupted and I get a headache along w/ it. It could just be my ISP (*******totally irrelevant link removed by moderator) but with the increase in reports of solar flares and articles like these I'm beginning to think that we really ARE in for a toasty treat in 2012 :/
Problem with activation
Hi there, I dont know if I am writing in a proper board but I have got a problem with activation, link i receive in email is not working...

The real Judy?
I find it odd that Judy has not had any activity on the ECAN website of her creation and of which I am Co-Admin.
None of our members has had any communications with Judy that I am aware of.

I am finding it hard to believe Judy whom I have known for a couple of years now would up and abandon her creation without notice of any kind. He last message was in regards to NING's recent move to phase out all free network services.
Then she disappeared.
