This is usually the kind of news one is sceptical about but; At about 6 hours later almost all her online presence was removed including her facebook and twitter accounts. And even-tough the facebook account is apparently back (with posts claiming all this was nothing) there has been no confirmed contact with her since then. This was one of her last updates before her accounts got erased:
Wayne, it would seem as if this signal is not perse directed at us as aSpecies, but that we are now listening in on a Interstellar
communication between civilisations on the Target stars I had

Only +- 1% of the signal seems modulated and the rest seems
to be an advance Binary code of sorts.
There are so many subcarriers
bundled into this signal.I dont think we have the
technology on our planet at present to do this form of communication atthis frequencies.
We have still not reached any results, far from it.
However I can say with confidence it is not Local, but definitely an
Intelligence from beyond our Solar System. Wonder why SETI USA has not
commented on anything yet. We are going to Stealth mode from now on,

Some very savvy folks over at Above Top Secret.com (ATS) exposed "Dr." Judy Faltskog for what he/she is: a long time, UFO hoaxer, transsexual, con-artist; not a "Dr." of anything, not a scientist, certainly not an astronomer of any kind. Her/his latest scheme, teamed with another "spacey" con-artist (Wayne Herscel), was aptly uncovered and revealed on ATS - a great read (funny too) and a very insightful expose of how twisted and far some people are - and will go, to hoax others and make money from less than scientific claims. RP
I'm not so shure about that...
I followed the thread on ATS and read every post there during the first two weeks of this case (If you take a closer look the tread is also linked in the article you just commented on) and I would claim that the research done there is as inconclusive as the rest of this story. The only thing they actually managed to prove beyond reasonable doubt was that there was in-fact a 27 year old female Radio Astronomer with the name Judy Faltskog in Randburg, South-Africa in 1993. The rest of the so called facts presented on ether side in that thread seems more like assumptions based no almost-verified facts and general guesswork.
I guess it all depends on the eye of the beholder. But I am quite sure that there are very few people that have enough facts available to make a reliable judgment about this case, and that none of those are at ATS.

Greetings I am one of those people you have labelled some kind of CIA agent that has been employed to discredit Judy Faltskog.

In answer to your question, the good people at ATS have spent so much time on this hoax claim simply because they are decent people that don't appreciate being lied to. Many ATS members are waiting for the day that some kind of genuine, verifiable contact event takes place. What we don't appreciate is that certain individuals such as Wayne Herschel and Judy Faltskog would create a false contact scenario simply to sell books and satisfy their own ego's with the resulting attention. Personally I just find the blatant lies and underhand tactics used to generate the 'alien signal' story repugnant.
No one on ATS is interested in 'destroying' anybody, just the unsubstantiated claims they make. I can assure you that no money has been involved in the ATS 'disinfo campaign' as ATS members like my self are private citizens with ordinary lives. No-one has been slandered or defamed as all the claims made by ATS members are checkable facts. Also if you read the on going discussion at ATS you will see that the members defending Judy were banned because they were signing up for multiple accounts, ie. the same person! The discussion has always remained polite also, no-one is interested in trading childish insults.
Some of the facts are : Judy Faltskog was once a proven UFO Hoaxer called James Van Gruenen, who falsified official documents (Kalahari UFO Hoax invstigated by rspected researcher Cynthia Hind) in an attempt to make money. He was prosecuted in for this.
Judy Faltskog (previously Van Gruenen) has never attended Berkley university and has never been employed by NASA and is not a scientist. Berkley and NASA have both been contacted over this.
I would invite you to read the reams of documents that prove the above facts on ATS. To this day Judy has never produced a single shred of evidence to support she is a NASA scientist.
You may just choose to believe I'm an agent with an agenda but the reality is much simpler. I have waited my whole life to witness contact being made and I don't appreciate the exploitation and cheapening of this subject by people out to make a quick buck.

First: I was not the one claiming that ATS is a CIA front-end, my impression is that civilized communication is best conducted by beople replying to the ones they are actually addressing. Just saying......
Second: If ATS was a CIA front-end the regular users would not have a clue about it, for the reason you state; "as ATS members like my self are private citizens with ordinary lives"
As to your "facts" from ATS (I did spend approx. two-and-a-half weeks reading that thread up and down around the time I posted this story, since then I have not been back there. If any of my following claims are refuted at a later stage; please feel frre to correct me; with links to the posts proving anything.):

And it is very convenient that older news stories considering a radio astronomer named Judy Fältskog being fined for kissing a girl in Randburg - South-Africa around the time that James underwent a sex change and changed his name to "Judith Helena van Greunen"; at the 4th of May this year I found it on 5-6 different news sites, some of them being much more detailed than the one that is left now.
"Judy Faltskog (previously Van Gruenen) has never attended Berkley university" - During the time I spent on the ATS thread someone checked the name "Judy Faltskog" with Berkley but they newer got back to it after there where raised questions about possible change of last-name. As to the NASA part I have not seen any proof that she has claimed to be on their payroll, and I doubt that any private citizens has the capacity to verify all possibilities of some radio astronomer working with NASA.

Firstly apologies if I got confused were your opinions lie on the ATS/CIA issue!
I must say I agree that a polite conversation should ideally be conducted with the people you are discussing. Wayne Herschel did appear early on on the ATS thread but left abruptly when members asked very logical and reasonable questions about how well he knew Judy Faltskog and if she was a genuine scientist. He said he was going for a bath and never returned! He has since resorted to getting blogs that questioned his story banned and will not allow any opposing opinions to remain on his FB page, much the opposite of your own blog. So much for freedom of speech eh?
Judy Faltskog herself never wanted to participate in any public discussion which is odd when you think of how very publicly she shared her claims. I think both Wayne and Judy must accept that to make such stunning claims publicly on facebook is inviting the whole world to question and examine those claims and the motives and credentials of those who make them.
There is some good documentary evidence that was given to an ATS member by Richard Heseman who was a UFO researcher in Germany at the time. These legal documents states that;

Independantly some years before the Wayne/Judy signal news a confused UFO enthusiast turned up to see Major James Van Gruenen give a talk about the Kalahari UFO crash....only to see 'Major Van Gruenen' was now a woman calling herself Judy Faltskog.
Judy on one of her many public websites before the signal hoax said she had authored a book called the 'aenstrian revelations', strangely enough a man called James Van Gruenen had claimed to author it some years earlier. There only was ever one author so I suppose Judy shot her self in the foot with that one.
Personally I think court documents, someone years earlier posting on a public forum that they saw a Judy instead of a Van Gruenen when they went to a UFO talk and Judy linking herself to James Van Gruenen is pretty good evidence.
There are other documents that are all being compiled into a free e-book which will be made available soon by ATS member nonethtu, So even only considering one court document that says Van Gruenen is Judy, we have absolutely zero evidence to back up Judy's signal claims or that she is a Dr. Not one academic paper at all, believe me people have looked!
I think the problem with this story is that there's a mountain of conflicting evidence to sift through and an instinct that was formed on first hearing the story is often what we feel comfortable sticking to. On that note I say we must agree to disagree on the true nature of Judy Faltskog. Personally I smelled a rat from the beginning.

I sure wonder where you get your information from when the person “Judy” or “Judith Helena Fältskog” who you are refering to is in fact a fictional character made up to assist us in our suggestive psychology experiment.
Makes me wonder how all the fake documents regarding a non existent person was created and by who.

Ever wondered why you could find no background information about “Judith Helena Fältskog” and that a self styled Michael Hesemann was your only source of faked documentation and why he only presents foto copies and not original documents eg. original passports or original court documents?
Why can he not present original documents from hospitals, doctors and surgeons to prove that the fictional character had a sex change procedure?
Why can he not present original letters or documentation from Embassies, consulates or goverments regarding this fictional character?
Why can he not present original social security numbers, identity numbers or birth certificates of this fictional character?
The answer is because the all ellusive character called “Judith Helena van Fältskog” is made up, imaginary, fictitious and non-existent and the dear Michael Hesemann would commit a crime by forging a passport, birth certificate or court documents and presenting it as original.
I am confident to say that you all fell for the bait and the purpose of the original decoy served its purpose. In the same breath I need to add that sadly a non existent character was created and put into this world which you all are trying your best to blame, curse, slander, mock and club over the head.
Mr Hesemann received his funds and our gratitude for his part played in this wonderfull story.
Just goes to show you are all too serious and that truth is indeed stranger than fiction!

Dont feel bad, your reaction is predictable and quite normal for someone who desperately needs to believe that this story is true or factual.
For our believeability assistive technology research we even added the character "Judith helena Fältskog" to a newspaper article from the 1930s, but disappointingly no one seemed to have found that one.
It would have been interesting to see just how far we could stretch believeability and the human imagination.
Our human predictability assessment studies shows that every attempt will be made by mostly conspiracy theorists to keep the fictional character alive and real, which means new stories will be invented, published, discussed, built into new conspiracies and keep our fictional character alive and real in the minds of people for the forseeable future.
The results and insight gained into this experiment is proving to be beyond what we expected and of great value to our future programs.
